A kosher tablet is a tablet with the web browser and app store removed entirely, running only a pre-approved set of apps — typically Zoom, learning programs, or specific tools a family or school selects. Unlike a filtered iPad, there is no browser being blocked in the background; the browser simply isn't on the device.

What families use them for:

• Zoom and telehealth — a dedicated device for classes, therapy appointments, and family calls, with nothing else on it.
• School and learning programs — yeshivos and schools issue them with exactly the apps a program requires.
• Kids' first device — games, reading, or music apps you choose, with no path to the open internet.

What's removed: web browser, app store, social media, and any app you haven't approved. What stays: the apps you select, configured before the tablet ships. A parental lock prevents changes without your password.
